Last week was a lot. In fact, I didn't even do my Friday post because I was dragging. I spent about 4-1/2 hours at the Turkish House, and by the end of it, I was just DONE. In addition, I just finished up a 5 page paper on Global vs. Transnational Feminism for my Sex, Gender & Power -- Feminist Thought and Politics class at Penn State. So Friday and Saturday were a much needed mental break that included great food and seeing friends dance and sing their hearts out on Broadway. (Watch for my reviews of SMASH, The Lambs Club, and Sushi Yasuda soon!)
I'll get that Day 5 post for you in the next day or so. In the meantime...
My Week 2 CSW Agenda
Because it probably seems like I'm just doing all these mysterious things, here is an idea of just how hard it is to choose which sessions I want to do. Anything you see that's bold is an official UN Women meeting official delegates are allowed (encouraged) to attend with diplomats. Anything in bold italics is an official UN Side Event we're also encouraged to attend, if not otherwise engaged. And lastly, anything in italics is part of the NGO (non-governmental organization) CSW Parallel Event, which is open to anyone. I’ve only included the ones I’ve decided on so far. Thursday there are no official sessions, but I haven’t had a chance to read through all the parallel events!
